KHON KAEN — Cyber police and Khon Kaen police have arrested a 28-year-old Laotian woman for allegedly offering sexual services through social media platforms at a local hotel.
The Technology Crime Suppression Division of Khon Kaen Provincial Police, led by Police Colonel Pornsak Ngamdee, arrested Ms. Touy during a sting operation at a hotel in Muang district. She was charged with advertising prostitution through electronic media and illegal entry into the Kingdom.
The arrest came after police discovered advertisements for sexual services on platform X under the username “Services in Khon Kaen” directing customers to contact through Line ID. An undercover officer contacted the suspect, who offered services at 1,500 baht per hour, including room charges.
During the arrest, police seized an iPhone 15 Plus and marked banknotes used in the operation. The suspect, who speaks fluent Thai, cooperated with authorities and voluntarily surrendered the evidence.
Ms. Touy faces multiple charges, including illegal entry into Thailand and prostitution-related offenses. She has been transferred to Muang Khon Kaen Police Station for further legal proceedings.
