BANGKOK — Another hip international act will add to the city’s buzzing indie music scene next month.
The long-awaited English indie rockers Alt-J will finally bring their idiosyncratic mix of Brit folk, math rock and electronics to their first show in Bangkok in November, organizer Medium Rare Live announced Saturday.
The three-piece band will perform their first show Nov. 27 at Moonstar Studio in Soi Ladprao 80. Early-bird ticket is 1,990 baht and regular ticket is 2,290 baht. They will be on sale at 10am on Oct. 11.
Best known for “Breezeblocks,” “Tessellate,” and “Every Other Freckle,” Alt-J was formed in 2007 by a group of friends who met at Leeds University. The band met with great success when their debut album An Awesome Wave won the British Mercury Prize in 2012.
