BANGKOK — They call themselves the Starfucker, and they’re coming to Thailand in October.

Portland-based indie rock band STRFKR announce online Thursday morning they’ll make a stop in Bangkok on their tour of Asia.

Many might know the trio from their song “While I’m Alive,” a soundtrack standout from romantic teen tragedy “The Fault in Our Stars,” but most of the indie outfit’s music is really a quite danceable blend of post-punk, electropop and lo-fi psychedelic.

The concert will take place Oct. 6 at Rockademy Thailand on Sukhumvit Soi 26. Early-bird ticket is 990 baht and available online.

STRFKR was founded in 2007 as a solo project of vocalist Joshua Hodges before it expanded into a group.
