PATTAYA — An Indian tourist filed a police report in the early morning hours of June 10 at 4:00 a.m., claiming he was robbed by two transgender women who worked together to steal money from his hotel room.
Mr. Sachin told police he encountered two transgender women near Pattaya Beach late at night, who then accompanied him to his hotel room in a Pattaya side street. One of the women invited him to shower together while the other waited on the bed outside the bathroom, which he believes was part of a premeditated plan.
When he emerged from the bathroom, Mr. Sachin noticed his wallet was not in its original position. Upon inspection, he discovered that a significant amount of money was missing: 600 euros (approximately 22,300 Thai baht or $685 USD) and 50,000 Indian rupees (approximately 19,000 Thai baht or $584 USD).
When he confronted the transgender woman who had been waiting on the bed, she deflected his questions before opening the door and fleeing. He attempted to chase after her, but the other woman tried to hold him back and distract him by suggesting he might have misplaced the money elsewhere.
Taking advantage of his momentary confusion, she also escaped and joined her accomplice in a waiting vehicle. Both suspects quickly fled the scene.
The heartbroken tourist, visiting Pattaya for the first time, filed his complaint with local authorities. Police are currently investigating and pursuing both suspects in the case.
