BANGKOK — 25 September 2026, A shunting locomotive collided with a CNR sleeper train in Bangkok’s Bang Sue area on Friday, heavily damaging both rail vehicles and injuring a train employee.
The incident involved a shunting locomotive striking a parked or stationary CNR sleeper train formation in the Bang Sue area, according to an initial report.
Photos from the scene showed the front section of the locomotive badly crushed inward following the collision. A sleeper carriage was also heavily damaged, with parts of its metal structure bent and collapsed, exposing the interior.
A train employee was reportedly injured in the incident.
