Japan PM Suga, China’s Xi To Hold Phone Talks This Week

TOKYO (Kyodo) — Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga and Chinese President Xi Jinping are planning to hold telephone talks later this week, Japanese government sources said Tuesday.

The talks, currently being arranged for Friday, are a bid to further expand ties between Japan and China, the sources said, adding the two are expected to discuss Xi’s postponed state visit to Japan.
