
During 5 – 7 March 2025, at Sheraton Hua Hin Resort, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, organized the 13th International Electrical Engineering Congress 2025 (iEECON 2025) in collaboration with the Electrical Engineering Academic Association, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE Thailand Section, IEEE Power and Energy Society and IEE Photonics Society).
The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. Dr. Somrerk Chandra-ambhorn, Vice President for Research, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cattareeya Suwanasri, Head of Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and chairman of the organizing committee. Over 200 papers from 40 universities in 15 Countries were presented at the iEECON 2025 conference, while the keynote lecture was given by Prof. Dr. Sheng-feng Qin from Northumbria University, England. Besides, the experts from Schneider Electric, Hitachi Energy and National Energy Technology Center were invited to be keynote speakers for the panel discussion on “Innovative Leadership in Carbon Neutrality: Technology, Strategy, and Collaboration.”
Not only serving as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and recent advances in Electrical Engineering, this conference underscores KMUTNB’s unwavering commitment to contribute to the sustainable development and the climate change mitigation through the integration of Electrical Engineering and other disciplines. Also, the iEECON 2025 conference aimed at fostering the KMUTNB global research network and sustaining the university’s research quality in Engineering which achieved the highest score in Thailand according to Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2025.
