BANGKOK — Get enlightened by authentic New York jazz music in the heart of Bangkok for an evening on a terrace and a skyscraper-filled backdrop.
Jazz music fans will welcome the sounds of Manhattan-based pianist and producer John Di Martino for one night only when he plays creative pieces with his group of friends at a downtown rooftop terrace.
Coming from a city with a rich jazz scene, Di Martino has collaborated with industry big shots David “Fathead” Newman, Pat Martino and Taj Mahal.
The night’s entertainment will be accompanied by classic New York cocktails such as the Manhattan, the Old Fashioned, the Cosmopolitan and the Rusty Nail made specially for the occasion.
The event will be Di Martino’s fifth in Thailand. In previous concerts, he played alongside Thai jazz musicians such as Tanis Sriklindee and Passakorn Morasilapin during a tribute to the late King Bhumibol.
John Di Martino & Friends will play 7pm to 8pm on May 15 at Zest Bar & Terrace at the Westin Grande Hotel. It is located on Soi Sukhumvit 19, a short walk from BTS Asok. Entry is free and arriving early is recommended.
