Thai AirAsia Offers Free Flights for 6 Thai Athletes at 2024 Olympics

BANGKOK —  Thai AirAsia is celebrating the success of 6 Thai athletes who achieved victories at the 2024 Olympics by offering them free flights. Gold medalists receive 10 years of free flights, silver medalists 5 years, and bronze medalists 2 years.

This offer includes one companion and covers both domestic and international routes, with a maximum of 100 seats per year. This initiative reinforces the airline’s commitment to supporting sports and recognizing the dedication and perseverance of Thai athletes in achieving their goals.

Mr. Tassapon, Executive Chairman of Thai AirAsia, stated, “At the 2024 Olympics, Thai athletes, coaching staff, and sports associations performed exceptionally well. We are proud of both experienced athletes and rising stars. We also want to thank and encourage all Thai athletes who gained experience and demonstrated their potential and spirit to the fullest.”

“Many athletes come from various provinces across the country. This will allow them to travel home more easily and frequently, as well as enjoy leisure travel during breaks from training. We’re offering flight privileges on both domestic and international routes, covering over 100 destinations,” Mr. Tassapon added.

Thai AirAsia announced this support at the “LET’S CELEBRATE THAI HEROES” ceremony held at SPHERE HALL, 5th floor @EMSPHERE. The event was attended by public and private sector partners to congratulate the athletes. Mr. Sermsak Pongpanich, Minister of Tourism and Sports, presided over the ceremony, where all 6 Olympic medalists from 2024 received support awards from various organizations.
