PRNewswire — Drukair, the national carrier of Bhutan, will soon distribute its fares and schedules through Amadeus, one of the world’s largest travel technology providers, in a move aimed at boosting the airline’s international visibility.
The agreement will allow travel agents worldwide to book Drukair flights through the Amadeus Travel Platform. The airline, headquartered at Paro International Airport, operates routes connecting Bhutan with major cities including Bangkok, Delhi, Kathmandu, Singapore, Dhaka, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bagdogra, Bodh Gaya and Dubai.
“Partnering with Amadeus opens new horizons for Drukair and Bhutan,” Drukair CEO Tandi Wangchuk said in a statement. “This collaboration allows us to connect with more travelers around the world.”
Javier Laforgue, executive vice president for Amadeus’ Travel Unit in Asia Pacific, said the company is “proud to be Drukair’s first distribution partner” as the airline seeks to broaden its international footprint.
Travel agents in India, Thailand, Singapore, Nepal, Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany and France will be the first to gain access, with additional markets scheduled to join in 2026.
Drukair said launch dates for each market will be announced later.
